Jackie Strandberg is a recently called member to the Law Society of Upper Canada. She completed her articles at the Toronto office of Borden, Ladner, Gervais LLP, during which time she focused primarily on constitutional, employment, and health law. She was also seconded to the Canadian Civil Liberties Association during her articles, where she assisted with a number of civil rights defences, including acting as a legal monitor during Toronto’s Occupy protests and providing research for legal submissions to some of Canada’s top courts.
Jackie completed her law degree at the University of Western Ontario, where she also obtained her Honors Bachelor of Arts in Media, Information and Technoculture. During her time as an undergraduate and in law school, she researched in the field of privacy, specifically as it relates to online social networking and interjurisdictional enforcement. Jackie has a deep interest in the interplay between technology and human rights, an interest that she has explored in her academic, legal, and volunteer career.
